Rules & Regulations
Rosters and Proof of Age
Coaches must submit a typed or handwritten roster to the onsite director before the event (prior to the first game). All players must be listed on the roster to be eligible for participation in the event (one, two, or three-day events). If a player cannot attend at the start of the tournament, this should be communicated to the onsite director for approval. Birth certificates and proof of grade exemption must be available at all times for all players. Opposing teams may request to see proof of age or grade by submitting $100 to the onsite director. If no proof is provided, the team will forfeit the game. If proof is provided, the team in question will receive a $100 event credit. See below for information on age limits and grade exemptions.

Pitching Rules
Recommended innings a player should pitch per day or weekend:

· 2 Day: 8 innings
Once removed from the mound, a pitcher cannot reenter as a pitcher in that game. Pitchers may attempt a third-to-first pickoff. Balks are called at the umpire’s discretion, with greater leniency for younger age groups. When a balk is called, it is considered a dead ball.

· 3 innings: 15 runs
· 4 innings: 8 runs
Extra Inning Rule
No extra innings during pool play; games end in a tie. In bracket play, extra innings begin with a runner on second base (the last batted out), and no outs.

Batting Lineup
Teams may bat any number of players that meets the minimum requirement for their age group. Free defensive substitutions are allowed, except for pitchers, who cannot reenter as pitchers once removed.
If a team starts with eight players in live arm or nine players in coach pitch, the last spot is not considered an out. If a player starts but the lineup is later reduced to the minimum, that position becomes an automatic out each time it comes up in the order. Intentional walks are limited to one per batter per game.
Miscellaneous Rules
Steel spikes are permitted in 12u and older divisions. If worn on a portable mound, the pitcher is removed and may not pitch for the remainder of the game, but may play other positions. Catching equipment choices are left to the coach (e.g., two-piece helmets, glove types), but catchers must be properly and legally equipped for safety. Slash bunting is not permitted for 12u or younger; if a batter shows bunt then swings, they are out regardless of contact.
